On November 15, 2025, the ‘Fushimi Sake Festival in Otesuji Shopping Street’ celebrates its 10th anniversary with over 15 local breweries setting up special booths along the historic Otesuji Shopping Street in Kyoto’s Fushimi. Popular neighborhood eateries will also offer delicious pairings designed to complement the sake. It’s a rare chance to mingle with sake brewers, sample some of Kyoto’s finest sake, and experience the industry’s vibrancy—now even recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
