Iwate Sakagura Festa 2025 in Morioka

Get ready for the annual autumn highlight—the Iwate Sakagura Festa 2025 in Morioka! Organized by the Iwate Prefecture Sake Brewery Association, this beloved event will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the special plaza in front of Morioka Station (Taki-no-Hiroba). All 20 sake breweries from Iwate Prefecture will gather, offering you the chance to sample every sake they make. Last year, visitors came from as far as the Kanto region by bullet train, and this year is expected to be even bigger! As part of the festivities, the nationwide sake tasting championship (Iwate regional event) will also be held. Brew tours are also available for booking, and you can take commemorative photos matching the event’s poster on-site and get the digital copy. Don’t miss the food trucks and kitchen car area!
