Kintsugi Workshop

Discover the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi at Fou Gallery in New York City. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the philosophy and practice of golden joinery, where you'll restore a prepared ceramic piece using natural urushi lacquer and gold. Led by Kintsugi artist @makomako.kintsugi, the two-hour session covers an introduction to the history, a guided repair experience, and an opportunity to take home your finished creation. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Please note that Kintsugi is a multi-stage process and a full repair is not possible in a single session, but you'll work on a specially prepared ceramic under expert guidance.
